Once again, I am in awe of my students. Today, several of them showed their stuff at the Westfield Wave Triathlon, sprint and super sprint distances.
First, Congratulations to Owen Zaret on completing his FIRST triathlon, EVER, today.
First. Ever.
That is no small milestone, as I remember well. So happy for you, proud of you, and more important, hoping you feel as great as you should.
And Megan Bilodeau? Yeah. Bumping it up to Sprint distance after her win at the Super Sprint last year and racing to a solid and awesome 2nd place in the women’s 45-49 age group. Gurl, you rock!
Congratulations to Stephanie Woods, 1st in the 55-59 age group for the Super Sprint. As always, you are amazing. And I love to watch you swim.
Thank you to all of them for letting me be a part of your triathlon ride.
I’m a lucky coach, aren’t I?
And not swim related but also incredible, swimmer Kevin Mepham raced to a 12th overall at the Lake Wyola Road Race today. And, um, let’s just mention that all other racers ahead of him were 14 years younger or MORE. At 52, Kevin is kicking booty and I have a lot to learn from him.
Inspired does not cover it, at all. Thank you again.
